Kazembe said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He therefore urged the newly inducted committee members to carry out their responsibilities with dedication, professionalism, impartiality and commitment, recognising that they are ambassadors of ethical leadership within the authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kazembe expressed appreciation to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for its continued partnership and support in facilitating the induction programme, commending the bureau for its commitment to promoting integrity, accountability and good governance in public institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his remarks, the ACB Acting Director of Corruption Prevention, Dr Susan Mtuwa Phiri, described the establishment of the IIC as timely and significant, considering that MMRA operates in a challenging environment where transparency, accountability and ethical decision-making are constantly tested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She said that having a functional and effective IIC is therefore critical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She also expressed appreciation to MMRA for establishing the Institutional Integrity Committee (IIC) and reminded committee members that they have important responsibility of inspiring others, promoting ethical behavior and ensuring that integrity becomes part of the organisation&#8217;s everyday culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Human Resources and Administration Manager for the Mining and Minerals Regulatory Authority ( MMRA), Bright Kazembe has described the induction of the MMRA Institutional Integrity Committee (IIC) as a key step towards strengthening ethical governance within the authority.
